Rates and costs for urgent same day courier services.
All costs quoted below are inclusive of VAT @ 17.5% (Vat No: 796510206)
Per outbound loaded mile = £1.10
Per return loaded mile (if required) = £0.55
Minimum charge = £22.00
Waiting time = first 15 minutes free then £0.50 per minute thereafter.
Sundays, public holidays and out of hours (6pm to 7am) = quoted cost plus 25%
Overnight Subsistence is applicable if:
1. you require the item you have sent to be returned to you as part of the same task. When the task involves an outbound journey of 350 miles or more the subsistence charge will be £75.00.
2. the outbound journey is 350 miles or more, we will endeavour to deliver your package on the same day, but will charge the subsistence for the rider to rest on completion of the job.
We offer free pick up within a 25 mile radius of our base, outside of this we charge £0.55 per mile.
How do we work out our motorcycle courier charges?
These are examples only but do show how we calculate our charges – all rates are inclusive of VAT @ 17.5%.
Charging examples:
Basic:
1. Pick up within a 25 mile radius of our base (PE9 1HJ) to Birmingham, we would charge £1.10 per mile for the “loaded” outbound journey only.
2. Pick up within a 25 mile radius of our base (PE9 1HJ) to Birmingham and then bring the item back to you, we would charge £1.10 per mile for the “loaded” outbound journey and £0.55 per loaded mile for the return journey.
3. You require an item to be collected from Birmingham and brought to you at an address which is within 25 miles of our base (PE9 1HJ), we would charge £1.10 per loaded mile, no charge for the outbound journey to Birmingham.
Outside of our free area:
1. You require an item picked up from Northampton and require it to delivered to Liverpool, we would charge this as shown below:
PE9 1HJ to Northampton is 49 miles therefore we would charge 24 miles at £0.55 per mile.
49 miles – 25 miles = 24 miles
The remainder of the journey, Northampton to Liverpool at our standard loaded rate of £1.10 per mile.
Inner London Surcharge
1. You require an item to be collected in Peterborough and delivered to the SW1 area of London, we would charge this as shown:
Peterborough to destination at £1.10 per mile plus inner London surcharge of £27.00
2. You require an item to be collected from an SW1 address in London and delivered to you in Peterborough, we would charge this as shown:
SW1 address to your address at £1.10 per mile plus £27.00 inner London surcharge.
Quotations are produced on a per job basis, please contact us for a bespoke quotation.
Invoicing and Payment:
Invoices are usually raised the day after the job has been completed, payment can be by cheque, debit card, credit card (2.5% card fee applies) or BACS, payment is requested within 14 days of invoice date.
