Architects plans and drawings, some printed media such as posters and advertising prints tend to be too big to be carried on a motorcycle. However, SDSA Motorcycle Couriers have developed a solution that will cater for “rolled up” items such as these that are printed on up to A1 size paper.

We call this new development as the “document tube”, it is made from PVC tubing which is both incredibly strong but also 100% waterproof, offering an extremely safe method of transporting your work.

On many occasions you will see motorcycle couriers carrying items such as these, wrapped up in black bin bags and precariously strapped on with an elastic bungee. The bin bags offer no protection against damage for your work and eventually rain will penetrate and ruin your work. In addition the elastic bungee will cause creases in your drawing, plans or prints which is not acceptable.

The maximum sizes of plans, drawings, posters and prints that we can carry are: 700mm long and up to 100mm, these dimensions apply to rolled up items.
